Tapan P. Dalal, DMD
A Connecticut native, Dr. Dalal earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where a service trip to Guatemala first sparked his passion for dentistry and oral surgery. He went on to attend the UConn School of Dental Medicine, participating in additional service trips to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. Throughout dental school, he received multiple awards recognizing his academic and research achievements in biomedical engineering and dentistry.
Dr. Dalal completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
His clinical interests span the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, complex bone grafting, full-mouth rehabilitation, trauma care, and corrective jaw surgery. He is also trained and credentialed in intravenous anesthesia to ensure patient comfort and safety. Dr. Dalal is committed to providing exceptional care through continued learning and the integration of the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dalal enjoys traveling, live music, and playing basketball. He is proud of his Connecticut roots and fondly remembers celebrating the UConn men’s and women’s basketball championships in 2014.
