In practice since 1974, Dr. Friedman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. After graduating from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Friedman served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. He then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in New York City where he served as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Friedman is an Attending Surgeon at Morristown Medical Center and was Chief of the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been named as a “Top Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in New Jersey” by NJ Magazine as well as one of Morris County’s “Most Valuable Persons” for his volunteer work. Dr. Friedman is also active with the Boy Scouts of America as a merit badge counselor. He is a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association and serves as a Police Surgeon for the New York State Police.

Dr. Friedman is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the New Jersey Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Tri-County Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the New York Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Friedman is married with children and has many interests which include being an active pilot and flight instructor, skier, sailor, and physical fitness advocate.
